In collaboration with the National Association for Media Literacy Education (NAMLE) and Texas A&M University this day-long conference on media literacy and civic engagement was held on September 28, 2018. This conference was a part of a series of honest, constructive dialogues hosted by NAMLE across the country with students, educators, content creators, and the public.
The goal of this event was to create a much-needed national conversation on the importance of media literacy and its essential role in today’s world.
135 participants including 30 high school students from Houston, Austin, and College Station attended this conference.
